London Film Critics’ Circle Awards: Winners announced

The 32nd  London Film Critics’ Circle Awards took place tonight at the BFI Southbank, with Michel Hazanavicius' silent extravaganza The Artist once again turning out as top dog, picking up the Film of the Year, Director of the Year and Actor of the Year awards. Elsewhere, Andrew Haigh deservedly picked up the award for Breakthrough British Filmmaker thanks to his superb debut feature Weekend, Olivia Colman received the nod for British Actress of the Year (despite her recent BAFTA snub) and Anna Paquin/Meryl Streep shared the Actress of the Year prize for Margaret/The Iron Lady respectively.
