The new trailer offers up plenty of chatter concerning 'Murphy's law' ("Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.", not the James Nesbitt BBC crime drama of yesteryear), a dramatic sandstorm drifting across a baseball stadium and Michael 'exposition' Caine offering up his two cents on the impending disaster. "We're not meant to save the world," he explains: "We're meant to leave it." With Steven Spielberg initially attached to an early incarnation of Nolan's next adventure as far back as 2006 (this new trailer gives off a distinct air of Spielbergian warmth, not something The Dark Knight director is commonly associated with), another smart yet commercially lucrative blockbuster would appear to be written in the stars.
Christopher Nolan's Interstellar is released in UK cinemas on 7 November, 2014.
